1/6 Scale Furniture

Some in progress pics of my new 1/6 scale furniture pieces that I've been working on.  I really love making smaller versions of some of my pieces.  The great thing about 1/6 scale is that it uses up the pieces of basswood, foam, batting and fabric left over from the larger scale items.  Also, their just so cute.

Using new scroll saw to cut out the centre of the headboard detail.

Waiting for the glue to dry. =_=

Still waiting.

Took me (what seemed like forever) to turn four finials.  Then I remembered I was making two beds.>_< They are about a 1cm high.

Here are the two beds with a coat of primer on them.  See eight little finials. n_n

Batting covered foam.  All ready for some fabric.

Getting there.

All done.  They're so cute.
Little wing back chairs.

What a lovely couple they make.

All done painting.  I added patina instead of staining it first then added paint.  It's difficult to see the patina effect in this shot.

Somewhat of a close up of the bed.  Might add a bit more patina.
